The musical, Oklahoma, was a perfect example of love, friendship, and how you can still have visitors even though there's a noose hanging on your wall. Oklahoma is about two young men, Curly and Jud, who were pursuing the love of Laurey, a southern belle who was quite guarded with her affections. Though Curly promised her wealth and happiness (which he never got around to), she refused to acknowledge his mournful dirge, and focused instead on provoking his jealousy by being escorted to a party by a different strapping young lad.
